For the life of me I don 't know how to change the theme in Nautilus or
GTK2. I went to art.gnome.org and it does explain how to change themes
just that in RH9 it seems as if certain opt I 've been trying to install RH9 on my system which has an Asus P4B533
mboard with a P4 2.43 cpu and 1 gig of memory. Please note that I am
able to successfully install Redhat 8.0 on this system.
When attempting to add a new menu entry as directed Open menu right
click entire menu add item I receive the following error
Cannot save menu item to disk

Linux 9. I tried updating using the Win4Lin installer but wasn 't
successful so I downloaded the kernel from their website and When I try to run redhat-config-xfree86
I get the message
Can 't start X with the current configuration
will try RIVA TNT2
The the screen goes black and the machine locks up. What does one do then?I received a RHN notice to upgrade my kernel to "kernel-2.4.20-9 ".
However during the upgrade process I received this error message "
"The package kernel-2.4.20-9 does not have a valid GPG signatureJust FYI because I was confused about it myself. First though let me
explain my confusion. We all know that EW costs $179. But what about
updates? RHN accounts are $60/year right? The situation aI 've been trying to use redhat-config-printer to enable sharing of the
printer across a network. My understanding is that /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
gets overwritten every time it restarts so editing it isIf I run "kspread " or "kword " I 'll see some kdeinit process begin to run
for about 10 seconds and then go away. No errors nothing.
Any ideas?

I have installed rh9 on my computer and laptop. When I put in a music
CD the CD player that launches when I put the music CD in has no
problem showing the track names. When I run Grip it always Admittedly I have a strange board for using lm_sensors on. It 's a Tyan
2466N dual Athlon. There 's some strange things one needs to do to get it
going on this board but you can find the information rObviously a newbie question from a person with MS Windows in
his past... but how do I /uninstall/ a program (a newsreader)
that was installed (using rpm) now that I 've decided the program
does not suSorry too used to hitting tab when typing in paths...

I 'v been running RH8 on my laptop without problems since it came out
with an ATI Radeon Mobility 7500 32MB.
I just bought the RH9 box yesterday and installed it on another
partition of the same macI am using mutt in xterm with reverse video enabled.
Everytime I move the mouse pointer into this window it
changes into a little white hand and this behaviour
continues when I move it out of the wind and just in time for those of you who need a little chuckle
this morning i present an excerpt from a 2002 article showing
why trying to sell linux as cheaper/more reliable/more secure
etc. to IT What is the recommended Java for Shrike ??

I 'm experiencing a rather wierd problem. After installing redhat 9 on a
fresh system (2xXeon Aic7902) grub loads the kernel it boots mounts
the root filesystem frees unused kernel memory aThanks very much for this one. I 've been wanting to root-boot JFS for a
long time maybe this will help me with some experiments in coming
weeks.

I have created an anaconda update disk that allows one to upgrade a
system which uses a ReiserFS RAID root. This update also allows rescue
mode to locate and mount a ReiserFS root. If anyone wants tI posted about this several days ago but the

I just installed Redhat 9 yesterday upgraded from 7.3. I was running
Apache 1.3.27 on Redhat 7.3. I also compile from source for Apache
and prefer not to use RPM 's. When I tried to compile Hi all
Ive built some rpms to allow kmail to use gnupg properly you need to set a few
things up as shown at http //kmail.kde.org/kmail-pgpmime-howto.html I have
