I don 't know how to do it I would like to set permanently the udma
settings from booting (Red Hat Linux 9 -Shrike).
I have a Serial ATA hard disk (Seagate onboard Silicon ImagThis is a complete newbie question...hope the following is clear...
I have 3 hds
win2k is on hd0
rh9 is/was on hd1
dual booting them was fine.
the third hd hd2 is/was new.
However while installini just tried to start a program under wine and it complained about not
having any ttf and suggested that i run grabfonts.
so i canceled the program successfully installed grabfonts and tried
theI got an email last week letting me know that RHL 9 is EOL April 04.
Two weeks ago RHN [the bastards] automaticaly renewed my subscription
and now I only get 6 months of updates for the full price.I am wanting to modify a menue and have it show up on the new users. How can
I go about doing this.

installation but the image contains many extras that i do not want or
need. i want to uninstall those particular rpms but i mount 10.x.x.x /image/rh9 /mnt/cdrom
or
mount ourLocalServer /image/rh9 /mnt/cdrom
returns an error like 'mount RPC Timed out '
how to mount nfs share in linux?? how to do this?

On trying to upgrade my rh9 install tree with the latest rpm-upgrade
packages I saw that the rhn-applet and the vsftpd packages in the update
tree are the same (same md5 checksum) as the packages iin my settings in /etc/X11/XF8Config
does my driver settings needed on 'vesa ' why not 's3 ' since my video
card is on s3trio and my video card is on 8mb but my rh9 detects only
