9.0 installation crashes when trying to activate the network device

In a fresh installation of RHL9 I get variable
PS1 '\s-\v\$ ' which causes this prompt

I can go back to the usual command prompt with
-bash-2.05b# export PS1 "[\u@\hI installed shrike on an old Dell PowerEdge 2200 in the personal
workstation mode. After installing all the dev tools I attempted to
install nessus with the lynx-style install but with no luck. BecHi
I?m trying to boot 2.5 but my machine freezes as soon as initrd is
loaded I 'd like to know if someone else has experienced this.
