We are running an IBM x-server 232 system with 2 processors
and 4 GB of memory (machine model 8668) with Red Hat version
9. Today our system locked up with no apparent explanation --

I 'm still using kernel 2.4.20-6 rather than 2.4.20-20.9 even though it
is installed. The newer one works ok but it doesn 't have the mods I
made for the modem and video drivers and one or two otherI built perl and perl_suid from Fedora 5.8.1 src.rpms without problems and
installed same (had to use --force because the CGI 's man and other bundle
files conflict with the man 's from the CGI bundle).I have a dual boot system with XP. Both the CD and floppy work fine with XP
but when I try and mount in RH9 they say "too many file systems mounted

I am developing an app that must be kept running permanently. Could
somebody please advise me what the best way to arrange for this app to
be automatically restarted in the event oAnyone use gaim in RH9? I 'm new to RH9 and there used to be something
called gaim-applet that 'd run down at the bottom instead of a minimized
gaim.
Also in RH9 somehow I 've clobbered the applet I managed to get my server to recieve mail but I can 't seem to get it to
send the mail back out.. I checked in my /var/spool/clientmqueue directory
and it is full of messages saying that the conneI upgraded from RH7.3 to RH9. Berkeley mail (sendmail) used to work
with the RH7.3 system (I could use /usr/bin/Mail to send mail) but now
it is broken under RH9. Mail -v shows these messages
blIs it possible to change the font size (or even style) in any of the
mozilla mail client windows? I am talking about the header window the
message display window and the mail composer window. AlHello all

Last night my Linux Server experienced a kernel panic. I 'm not
really sure what happened. /var/log/messeges did not show anything very
informative. (maybe my syslog.conf file is not very goFirst of all sorry for my bad english
I had configured smsd to run in the startup but it doesnt work for me
that is the daemon starts and processes the sms but it doesnt launch
the program that i hWhat is the Red Hat approved method of configuring one of those USB Memory
"Jumpdrive " devices? I assume an entry in the /etc/fstab file must be made?

I just got my hands on a linksys wireless router-nat-firewall
and added it into my home network. However - Im now having
trouble between 2 redhat boxes a 7.2 laptop and a 9 desktop.
[jI have Red Hat 8 installed and working OK.
I downloaded version 9 Shrike ISOs and created CDSs.
On attempting to perform the install from these CDs the test
checks all check OK but the install fromWould like to require password "only " when access is not from localhost or
