What exactly is the /dev/pts filesystem used for?
It says filesystem for Unix98 PTYs
virtual filesystem which can be mounted on /dev/pts ... used
for pseudo terminal support.

Compiled the new 2.6 series kernel. I 've got and patched
vmware using vmware-any-any-update50.gz Now I 'm getting errors
during bootup saying that
vmmon module license 'unspecifI have windows XP n RH9 on my machine.
Windows has no partition just C drive
in NTFS file system type.
How am i supposed to change the fstab
file so as to be able to mount the C
drive in linux.I recentely upgraded from Shrike to Fedora and it has worked beautifully for other than the fact that the usb drive takes a long time to mount and it takes a long time to copy from or to it as well

Does anyone have any experience installing RH9 on the 7010 notebook from
HP and if so was it a success ? In particular it has a Radeon 9200
graphics adapter which does not appeMy monitor died and I replaced it with a new one which won 't support the
resolution that the old one was on. Hence the OS comes up and complains
about not being able to display anything.
