I was wondering if anyone else has seen similar issues with an Ati
Radeon gfx card and RH9 as described in Red Hat 's Bugzilla here

Red I was quite thrilled when I downloaded RH9 on the 7th. I said to a
friend of mine that it was basically Phoebe with the bugs fixed.
Before I start complaining I have to admit two things. First I Check this one out people.

Hi all
There appears to be a problem with RHL 9 when run under VMware 4. RHL 9
uses ethtool to detect whether a network interface has an active link.
However VMware 's emulation of the PCNet32 adaI did eventually get my Toshiba 1115-S103 laptop to run RH 8.0 with a
bit of work so I thought how hard can 9 be?
Well quite a bit harder than I thought.
First for reference my write-up on RH 8 iI accidently upgraded the kernel package (rpm -Fvh *.rpm in a
directory containing a newer kernel package). Now all my previous
kernels are gone. The kernel that is installed now is an i386 kernel Greets all!
I just got done installing RH9 the other day and finally got around to
slapping Q3 and UT2003 on. To my dismay the update patches will not
install. Am I alone? Any reccomendations on...someone correct me if I 'm wrong
