I have installed alsa-xmms alsa-driver alsa-lib and alsa-utils but
when i try to use xmms with alsa i get a snd_mixer error that snd_mixer
does not exits.
If i run alsamixer i get alsamGreetings
I have that laptop and a RE450CT Ethernet PCMCIA adapter. Everything
worked fine until RH7.something. Now I have RH9 installed.
When I plug in the card nothing whatsoever happens. IHello
I have connected that printer to a Red Hat 9 Linux PC and set it up
with the redhat-config-printer tool.
In OO.o 1.1.1 I launched spadmin and set it up as generic printer

Now when I try to start konqueror it gives me this

I really would like to use RH 9 but some of the commercial
apps I am using are available for RH 7.3 only.
I have tried to install the compatibility packages but am
still unable to get thCan some body help in using telnet our college server runs squid and I
can 't telnet outside my college LAN.

I have a machine with 40 GB Hard disk. When I loaded my Linux in dual boot with windows 2000 I defined a 10GB space for linux. The remain hard disk is partitioned in 2 drives C and D with FHey everyone thanks for the many replies on my problem. I changed the
reference to the /mnt/hd1 2 or 3 should have been /mnt/hda b or c. It
now boots into the bootloader and TRIES to initialiDoes anyone know where I might find Kernel RPMs for Red Hat 9 that include
the ACL patches?

I always found it very useful with 7.2 and 8.0 used to have it in 9 and

I had be grateful if some one can help me in mouting
the Windows 2000 NTFS Partition that I have in my
