When I define in iptables
-A RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT -i eth0 -j ACCEPT
do I get packets only form those computers that are locally attached to
my network or also packets that come through
I 'm seeing an odd behaviour and its driving just a tad loopy. I need to
compile and odd kernel module so I
lftpget ftp //mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/linux/redhat/updates/9/en/os/SRPMS/kernI understand that it is possible to upgrade from RH9 to Fedora using
yum. I have two questions
1) How is this done?
2) Is it advisable to upgrade using this method?

I have installed Redhat 9 on a Dell PowerEdge 1750 machine.
It works fine but sometimes the system hangs with a black screen.
I don 't boot into X.
I just run the machine as a webserverhi list

I have installed Apache 2 and now look to work in PhP 4.2.2-17. I have
successfully downloaded the RPMS file from redhat.com but when I got to
unpack the RPM I get the err

I think there is a problem with Apache on RH9 being able to deliver very
large files. By very large I mean 2.4G and 3.5G.
It seems to choke with a error 403 Unauthorized then it 's unable to ruIs it possible to adjust the I/O block size of a filesystem after creating it?
e.g.
stat command shows I/O block size which is retrieved from stat- >st_blksize (Optimal block size for I/O).
Took me a while to change over to yum. Looks like it will be great.

Just installed redhat linux 9.0 in my proliant ML150 server. Before it goes
into production i wanted to know the possible vulnerabilities in it. I have
installed only default packages anHi folks
I used to mount my usb disk by
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb
It worked well.
But after I install all update for rh9 ( the kernel now is 2.4.20-31.9
instead of 2.4.20-8 ) it fails.
