I have been trying to get PCMCIA to work
with a custom kernel. What I want is a kernel
with proper ACPI support and working PCMCIA. With
the stock 2.4.20 and 2.4.20-xfs I get (after modifying theHas anyone managed to run k3b in Shrike...I have the version from r/h 8
but it seems to need libmad.so.0....Is this in any of the shrike
packages..I have searched through them but cannot find a mentiHey I have RH9 installed and it locks up a few minutes after boot. The

with lpr before. I have samba up and running but it 's not playing nice
with cups either so I thought now would be a good time toI am trying to understand something. I opened up the .config file for the
kernel included with RH9 kernel source. Some of the modules that I know are
running (such as FireWire) are not selected. How aWell I installed the new nVidia drivers and the problem went away. I have no
clue why but it works. I 'd still like to know why.

When I try to edit the '. ' key (Canc) what it 's really printed is a ' '.

Since I installed RH9 my USB 1.1 controller doesn 't seem to be
recognized. On boot I see two ehci drivers load. If I plug my USB mouse

changing the XF86Config file.
But why nokernel-2.4.20-8 and kernel-2.4.20-9 seem to exhibit this new problem
with my via82cxxx sound device that didn 't happen during Phoebe or
earlier Red Hat Linux. After using my Sony FXA36 athlon laptop Dear All
I got the rh9 n is replacing my w2k server with it.

I recently installed Redhat 9 and I always use Audio Player/XMMS to play
my mp3 files. I notice however that I can 't view file info anymore. It
is supposed to pop up a window with all the iI used to install elm simply for the fact that it contained the command
`frm ' which listed your inbox in a terminal. As elm is long gone and I
have no particular desire to install it all just for thaI have an Olympus Smart Media Reader which is recognized by my RHL9
