Installed 9 on a system like so
/dev/sda1 /vol2
/dev/sdb1 /
/dev/sdc1 swap

Now the system only shows "GRUB " at bootup. MI am running Red Hat 9 and am contemplating getting a wireless network
card for my laptop. I see everyone talks about the Ornico gold card I
would rather use a US Robotics. What cards are the easieI know this has been covered in the past but I 'm not having much luck
searching Google or the archives at the moment.

I 've tried and tried to figure out why PHP 4.3 and NET SSLeay won 't
compile in RH9. This is a new clean install of RH9.
NET SSLeay is looking for PodMan2 when I go to compile - which IS in my

This weekend I upgraded a box here to shrike as a test and now I can 't figure out how
to re-enable tear-offI have a laptop that uses the i810_audio and AC97 codec sound drivers.
Sound works fine (mostly) in both Red Hat 8 and 9. I did a clean
install of Red Hat 9. However I get odd modprobe errors in I run RHL9 on an IBM Thinkpad T30 that uses the ATI Radeon Mobility 7500.
Under KDE (not sure whether under Gnome since I don 't use it) I often
have situations where an application (say pine) clearDuring boot i see a screen full of messages like
(never appeared in previus RHL versions 7.2 7.3 8.0)

and now i often have problems reading cd roms
