Open natilus select a script or text file right mouse click select open
with gedit --- nothing happens.
I can open it in display mode select information edit with gedit and it wiGnome desktop
On the panel I do a right mouse properties background color to set the
color. Close the window and the color is accepted.
Logout and log in and the color is set to black.

I am trying to upgrade 8.0 to 9.0. (BTW I have a subscription but had to
use BitTorrent as RH 's servers were too slow).

Since upgrading to RH9 sendmail and sm-client hang for more than a
minute each before successfully installing. Any ideas on why this is

I want to mount a sun-ufs partion. I try this
mount -t ufs -o ufstype 44bsd /dev/hda8 /mnt/sun or
mount -t ufs /dev/hda8 /mnt/sun
Does not work though. Anything i have to download extra or compilBut not for this problem obviously.

Hmmm. Start Here - > Preferences - > Screensaver on my system does nothing
at all. I just right-clicked and selected Edit Launcher to see what
command it was trying to launch and it said

Thanks to all those who explained how to proceed and gave the exact
sizes and checksum of the 3 iso images of shrike. Below is what I got
on the three CDROMS. Besides thanks my very last question (mWell for those that currently don 't have it yet it looks like the
mirrors are open now for Red Hat Linux 9.

The problem is that I can 't actually use X because of the improperly set
resolutionIs there a formal process someone would go about requesting patches from

I wonder why RedHat just resists to add some more Arabic support for

I 've asked for this many times and given tIs anyone using this? Is there more to installing and just starting the

this going in Phoebe but I can 't get it going in Shrike. It just never
