Have hit a snag installing RH 7.3 (on CD-ROM) on my dual boot (Win ME)
Celeron 466Mhz machine with 192Mb Ram 6 gig & a 40 gig hard drive (slave).
Partitioning seems to have gone well running ntp or rdate sets my clock 4 hours ahead of where it should be.
dateconfig shows timezone set to america/detroit which is correct
however it also says timezone UMT. I 'm guessing that 's not I am at a loss as to ejecting my dvd/cdrom devices!
I am running an up to date RH 7.3 and it seems that ever since I
installed it I am unable to eject CDs.
My /etc/fstab file looks like
/dev/cdrom I tried to install 7.3 over the weekend on a freshly built machine. I
downloaded the 7.3 disks (the original 7.3 iso 's) checked the MD5 sums
and ran mediacheck on all three disks. I tried three tiWhen installing Valhalla on an oldish system it 's get 's to the part where
it 's formatting the /usr partition then freezes. The Caps Lock and Scroll
Lock LEDs will blink (Num Lock does not) but otherwEarlier today I popooed a suggestion to take seriously the job of reading the

orginial install I had X running just fine. Did a up2date this morning
and now I cant get it started. Keeps complaining about

I solved the problem below by removing the hotplug package.
It appears the /etc/hotplug/net.agent bash script was firing the 'ifup
eth0 ' which made this command being run twice at aFolks
I have been trying to find out where to set user defaults for adding new
users through the "redhat-config-users " command (i.e. System -- > User
Management). I noticed that redhat-config-users I am a little late to the valhalla party but this is not necessarily a
new issue and I have had this problem in other RedHat kernels also.

packets kept and what is it called. logging is set to 1 in my firewall.conf.
