monitor screen because
once it goes to sleep it does not come back. I have to login to the machine
remotely and either rI just installed RHEL WS 3.0 and I can ping other hosts in my subnet
by IP address but not by hostname.
The hosts file in my /etc/nsswitch.conf file looks like this
hosts files dns
I hI need to change the IP address of a RHEL WS 3.0 machine.
I changed
/etc/sysconfig/network
with the new IP address
and restarted the network service and did a
ifdown eth0
ifup eth0
I am facing two problems in installing RedHat from a
CD.
Problem 1
On one computer on which I have USB mouse and USB
Keyboard the installation CD after booting hangs.

I 'm a dope...I deleted my modprobe.conf file...and all backup copies too
I 'm trying to find a way to regenerate my modprobe.conf from the
currently running modulI need to check to see if my Redhat machines are running on 100 Half/Full
or 1000 Half/Full can someone tell me how to check this from the command

Last year a bug was reported that MySQL-shared rpm was
