Its easy to specify host-based security but I have not found a way to
apply user-based security.

Yes you need to delete the 4th partition and then create the logical
partition from 4th partition.

Got and oldish (??) NEC machine from someone and I am loading
LINUX on it. Initially I suspected the CDROM to be faulty and tried
