I wanted to know the ways in which I can compile linux kernel 2.6 on
redhat 7.0. I tried to compile the kernel and load essential packages
but I am getting lots of errors while compiling the kBoyle Bernadette would like to recall the message "Mail problems on arran and rhum ".

Just a note to let you know that there appears to be problems with mail

I had to recompile PERL and let it know to also search
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0 directory for things.
that and I had to reload XML Parser then all was well !

Currently the server has the default PHP older than 4.1.2 however some new software will require at lease 4.1.2 or latest and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find an RPM tIs this list still alive?

VSFTPD (compiled from source version 1.2.1) isn 't writing to
/var/log/xferlog or /var/log/vsftpd.log even tho /etc/vsftpd.conf is
correctly configured
