 | | | Red Hat Linux 7.2 | | Has anyone experienced redhat 7.2 setup which starts the packages
installation fairly zippy gets about 2/3 the way then starts crawling
to about 5 MB an hour? I suspect a disk problem because last
RH 7.2 comes with sendmail 8.11.6-3 but the security patch is for
8.11.6-23 and won 't install with -Fvh. Does anyone know what is going on
here?
Does anybody know of a way to print from a Windows 98 PC to a printer on a Linux box using Samba? Samba is up and running just fine and when I am in Windows I can access the Samba server and I can sWell I tried to move the /var directory and mount it to the new
partition and promptly lost it. I should not have tried Joan 's shell
script without understanding it first. My fault... but I was triand I 'm assuming that 7.2 will want to fsck the filesystems.
What will happen if a live system is running when that fateful
time arrives? Will it just do the fsck and put all disk i/o on
hold for fewI just installed RH 7.2 on a Dell Poweredge 2550 and I tried updating the
kernel using up2date. I got a failed dependency for bcm5820-1.81.
It turns out that I have bcm5820-1.17-6 on the box. And tYour right... I meant /... this is the root partition correct?
Look what df -H gives me after I tried to mount / onto a new partition
with lots of free space

I tried to umount it and remount to a larger drive. But the shell

Now I have donwloaded a .bin file from sun and I don 't know what to do
with it. Tried man pages and apropos. Googleis there anything i need to do before updating sendmail? will it make

Lot of problem with my Advansys ISA 5140 scsi card.
My Red Hat 7.2 can 't detect it . So I can 't use my cdrom connected.
However My scsi card is in the red hat HCL.
Help! if someone knoI am familiar with rmdir but I cannot make it work on non-empty
directories. The man pages do not offer an 'also see '
