I have Compaq armada1005 Labtop. CDROM drive not working in my Labtop. So
idecided to install using local FTP server (by mounting Linux CD on windows
FTP server root path).
When i boot fHi Callan and folks. It got its act together after much disc rattling.
GOT gnome going but not much else.

-activate and thus upgrade to RH v9. In activate told me to fill in my name but faiI 've added various routes in the past some with route add and some with
redhat-config-network. Now I want to delete them all so I used route
del and redhat-config-network to make sure they were goneI seem to have a problem with a parallel port Iomega ZIP drive and
2.4.20. I have seen this on three different machines where the driver
used to work just fine.
This is what I see with kernel 2.4.20-Another newbie with problems what else is new?
Finally succeeded to install rh8.0 after figuring out how to delete v6.
Now I face the root in text when I wanted to have the gui on and dunno how tI finaly found something in the logs after enableing all the gShield logs.
