The database location of MYSQL "/var/lib/mysql " has been removed manually
by mistake due to the above reason i could uninstall completelly.
[root@(protected) /]# rpm -qa | grep -i mysql

I am trying to get sound out of my RH8 box. Although everything seems to
be O.K. (configuration via KDE Control Center seems to complete
successfully) I hear nothing from my speakerDear All
Often i have to edit the cron file for execution. Why So ? Any help in
this regard is much appreciated.

I am trying to install RedHat 9 from a CDROM get from redhat.com and it
just do not install. When it get into tests it returns this message

I have been using OpenLdap for Center Authentication. User 's home
directory is presented by attribute "homeDirectory " in OpenLdap.
I have 2 problems
1) When a user login Linux (ex using sshi downloaded glibc-2.3.2 and untar it into a dir coz rpm does not work at
all.
followed INSTALL guide from glibc....
then ran configure --prefix /usr/local --enable-add-ons

i installed the latest rpm python2-2.2.3-1 from the website and i used this
command rpm -Uf --nodeps to enable the installation to go through and did
the same for pythontools and pythontkinter.
