Yesterday I 'up2dated ' the new kernel-2.4.18-17.8.0.i686.rpm.
(together with the package hwdata-0.48-1.noarch.rpm).
Ever since then my Dell i8100 laptop hangs when trying to shutdown.

Kindly advise how to delete selected messages in Trash box not to empty

the only error messages i got is than an error has occured

Thank goodness I installed KDE because less than a week after upgrading
to RH8.0 from RH7.3 my laptop suffered a major GNOME2 problem at
startup. The panel crashed leaving only its "hide " arrow in theOk I finally got it working. It seems it was the restrict lines in the
default /etc/ntp.conf file that was causing it. Or at least me not adding
something ot make sure the servers weren 't being reI 'd like to know whats new in the latest kernel update.

I 've created a new gdm2 theme. The only thing is that I cannot figure
out how to take a screen shot of it so the preview stuff works when you

When I insert a cd it gets mounted and Nautilus pops open and all 's
well. But right clicking on the cd icon and choosing "eject " has no
effect on either cd 's or floppies.
I can however riI am trying to setup a mount point to my WinXP NTFS Partition I have RH8.0

First when I logged out of my X session screen seemed to stay in graphics
mode. It looks that console was still working and I could even start X

I 'm experiencing problems with fontmaps under RH 8.0.
The Linux box has a US keybord and the language is
set to US English. Using the X terminal under Gnome
everyting is fine when II changed the video card in a RH 8.0 system from an old Nvidia tnt2 card
to an ATI Radeon 9000. kudzu noticed when I powered up and made the
appropriate changes for the new card.
I can get into X When I try to print messages with Evolution only the header prints. It
doesn 't even show up in the print preview. I can see the messages fine
just can 't print them.
