I sucessfully migrated from ipchains to iptables but now I am having a
hard time in setting up the iptables firewall script.
I used to edit /etc/sysconfig/ipchains by hand since I am familiar I have recompiled my kernel several times by using the steps
- make mrproper
- make xconfig
- make dep
- make clean
- make modules
- make modules_install
- make install
After that completes I also rI am looking for recommendations in hardening RedHat 8.0 from both virus and attacks to protect a network. I currently use (4) Rehat 7.1 based x86 systems to protect an internal network.

I 've configured my printer shares with the guest only yes option and the

I would like to unload ipchains and load iptables. I can run "setup "
then unselect "ipchains " and select "iptables " and when I reboot I get

After searching the mailing list archives I have not seen this addressed
as of yet. Anyway I 've installed my TTF 's and have them working ok. My
problem is that the TTF 's appear fuzzy (ex.I searched for this to be answered already but could not find it so sorry
if it has been discussed before.

(though the earlier versions were built by me). My issue is that I have
