I have the problem that I can 't kill certain frozen processes on RHEL AS 3.
Somehow up2date crashes each time when I try to run it from a Win XP
machine tunneled through SSH (with ExceDear Sirs
I 'd like to set quotas for OS users on RH9. But on my server there is only one partition "/ ". Would you please list some steps to do this ?

I 'm still new to the Linux world so be patient with a newbie -)
I have an ADSL internet connexion configured for my RH9 system and it 's
working fine. when i log on to my system i issueOur new dual Opteron server (x86_64) running RHEL3 update 3 (Taroon)
has a K8s pro motherboard with on board networking. It also has two
broadcom Gigabit Ethernet NICs.
The system sees eth0 as I 'm running RH8. The machine seems to spend a lot of time running mailman
but I 'm not running any mailing lists. Some loge output is below. I can 't
figure out how to get rid of the cron jobs that aI want X to start on my servers so I can bring up the GUI stuff at
times.
But I want the console to come up text only. So if for some reason X
pukes the server will still boot.
HAfter a week of trying to fix this problem I 'm still
wondering if anyone managed to get around or fix this
sound problem?

I 'm trying to install Redhat 9 on an IBM T20. The
install went well but I 'm having problem with screen
resolution. I have a S3 Savage IX8 video card that
was detected. However when II lost the sound since updatind to 2.6.10-1.9_FC2.i686
kernel. I checked the alsa mixer and everything is all
the way up and no mute is checked.
Can anyone help me out here?
