I noticed that there is a new tzdata-2004b-1.EL rpm available via RHN
but I couldn 't find an advisory for this update.
BTW Did someone geIs it possible to upgrade a 2.1AS machine to 3 by rebuilding all of the
.src.rpm 's and installing the resulting RPM 's?

we run httpd with the "worker " mpm model which results in the server running
multithreaded. If we run one worker with 200 threads say NPTL results in
only one entry showing up in RH WS just went through a major up2date - some 100+ rpm 's. Network was
overloaded. Downloads were very slow. After going through all that

Update 3 appears to have run last night and now no one can auth through
samba. We use a separate nis/krb server and I can auth through ssh to
the file server using a nis/krb username/password witHi list

HP/UX has what they call "compatibility mode " in that binaries compiled
in the RISC platform will run on the Itanium platform but at a cost in
performance.
I know it isn 't quite the same..Is anyone running RHEL 3 on an IBM x306? I 'm having problems getting
the SATA controller recognized and was curious to know if I missed
something obvious.
