My current kernel version is 2.4.21-4.EL in order to
install Domino i need to have a kernel which is
greater than 2.4.21-6.EL. In order to do that i got
the source kernel-2.4.21-20.EL.hey all
Is there any way to install the 32 bit i686 kernel on the AMD Opterons?
I dont want to install the athlon kernel but the i686 kernel based.
I have heard some people do this on their OpteCobbled together from various Red Hat people I 've heard
- RHEL 4 will tentatively be based on FC 3
- RHEL 4 may (?) have SELinux
- the tentative target date is sometime in 2005

I Upgraded a server this morning to UPD3. All of a sudden in.tftpd
(started from xinetd) seems to be emitting many more log messages than
before (hostname / filename scrubbed)

Recently I installed a few linux systems with kickstart but when
I tried to get the hostname I got localhost.localdomain.

We have windows xp and w2k clients connecting to the vpn server over l2tp.

We have two systems running the worker-mpm-enabled version of Apache
(Using threads). Both weOperational question here. We have our internal distro based on RHEL 3
U2. We need to test U3 for a few months but we 'd like to take

if anybody interested there is a fixed package of bind from U3.
As you probably know the U3 bind breaks running configuration and
sysadmin should manually fix it to run bind again.
