Is anybody aware of any changes in the 2.4.21 kernel(redhat
2.4.21-4.0.1.ELsmp kernel distribution) which affects disk I/O badly? We
are noticing that the cpu taken up by iowait 's is causing Hi
when installing the unsupported kernel rpm I get the reiserfs modules.
But are the (unsupported) rpms for RH ES3 somewhere?
Or do I have to build/compile them myself?

This is slightly off topic but it seems to only be happening on my

provided by RedHat. Recently I installed 1.5 on my RHEL3W

I must recompile PHP to include VerisigI recently purchased some RHEL AS 3.0 from IBM and got only update
entitlements. After questioning this the reply from Redhat was that there
are no longer management entitlements on RHN for RHEL3.0. Was mailman dropped from ES3 for some reason? Is there other mailing list
management software included?

But Opera can 't open a PDF file.

(AFAIKT) The 2.4.21-4 to 2.4.21-4.0.1 kernel update changed the perms
on /dev/shm from 0755 1777. Was this part of the security fix? Other
fix?

I was hoping someone can explain why this works
It appears that the driver that Redhat uses for the Dell D600 has
problems with the Cisco Vpn 3.x 4.x clients. I 've only tested this on
Redhat AS3.All
Has anyone heard anything from RedHat on when they will be releasing an
updated kernel to fix this? (Note - I haven 't checked their website. )
