I got it done last night, I didn't know about kdesudo but I used "Run Command"
and ran kate as root. I read over your previous instructions several times
and ended up with exactly the above line! Actually, I stuck the UUID line
which was there in a comment so I could go back if it didn't work.

Did that and and it showed up in "System settings" "Disk&File systems" as
enabled. Thank you Derek for all your help.
