Greetings everyone,
I am new to Ubuntu although I have been working with linux for a brief time. Here is my problem:

I have a compact flash card that is attached to a CF-SATA converter. I am using a CD created from 8.04 ISO (checksum was OK) that I am installing from. To partition the drive (CF card is 4GB), I use the following:

/ - 3GB ext3
/home - 500MB ext3
/swap - 500MB

Once I create the partitions and fill out the computer information, the install begins, but quickly hangs as it attempts to format the CF card at 5%. I have tried various CF cards, all with the same problems, with the exception of one Kingston 8GB that actually works, but I would like to find a solution to my problem or some form of workaround. Please let me know if you need more information. My system is a Single Board Computer configuration with dual quad core processors and 2GB of RAM.

Regards,
