I got the special files so gcc and make work but it appears I am
missing something.

I tried to configure screem and got this error:

checking for style of include used by make... GNU
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C
compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

Does anyone know what I am missing?
