More than once :-(

Last time I installed XP it took SIX hours.  My last 3 Ubuntu/Kubunt
installs took about 30 minutes each.

Exactly.

And while I'll never buy another Dell in my life, I understand the
attraction of being able to buy a machine with Ubuntu pre-installed.
