It's probably not much help, but I never got it to work on my system
after multiple attempts at following advice found on the net. However,
it was obvious from forum entries that other people had been successful.
I tried latest versions of Fedora, Mandriva, Dream Linux, Linux Mint,
Vector Linux, Open SUSE, and Open Solaris. Couldn't get wireless to work
in any of them.
I then installed Xubuntu where it worked out of the box. No idea why
the difference, and since it now works I've not looked any further.
However, it CAN be made to work. I just hope you don't need to reinstall
as many distros as I did to find how to do it. (Actually, the wireless
wasn't the reason I loaded up so many distros. That was for a different
reason).
Good luck with it,
See ya,
Ken McLennan
