We'd have to have had someone file an RFE to even know it was in need of
enhancing. I don't see one at first glance, though there is a 'brightness not
working on T60p' bug, which could well require a thinkpad_acpi update, but
hasn't got much attention thus far...

I'd suggest filing a new bug requesting an updated thinkpad_acpi explicitly,
with details on why its necessary for what platform(s).
