You may find this script I wrote useful:

http://www-xray.ast.cam.ac.uk/~jss/code/monitor_3w_raid.py

You need to run this in cron, and install the tw_cli program (make sure the
path in the script is correct).

cron will email you if there is an error on the RAID device.
