Earlier releases of bind had a poor reputation. Apache's is stellar
(though some of the applications run under Apache aren't so good).
It's only relatively recently that RH has been shipping chrooted bind
(probably after bind had been fixed up somewhat).
Debian does not ship bind chrooted.
Novell does not ship bind chrooted in SLES10.
