Wishful thinking I'm afraid.
Only a small subset of libata PATA drivers are included in el5. Other
PATA controllers (like Nvidia Nforce) are still supported by the old IDE
subsystem.
Just take a look in drivers/ata and see what libata drivers are
included, then compare it to Fedora 8 which has all the libata drivers
enabled.
