Hello,

On a Dell server runnin RHEL 5.1 with latest packages (xen kernel
variant), eth0 is a Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit
Ethernet NIC, according to lspci.
The bnx2 driver is being used for the NIC.

I'm trying to determine the link speed and duplex mode for eth0, however:

[root@(protected)
Settings for eth0:
    Link detected: yes

mii-tool fails:
[root@(protected)
SIOCGMIIPHY on 'eth0' failed: Operation not supported

It doesn't seem like SELinux is involved in blocking the access.

In /sys/class/net/eth0 there are a number of files, but none of them give
a hint about how to determine speed and duplex status.

How do I determine the link speed and duplex status for my NIC?
