I'm currently working with my RH channel rep on this - but has anyone
successfully gotten this working?
We've tried every permutation of proxy / user / pass in both
/etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date and in /etc/yum.conf, and thus far we believe
that we've gotten up2date happy (rhn_check seems functional) but we have
not been able to get yum to function - it always fails on
authentication.
Is there a config bit I'm missing?
The solution for up2date was to add the line for the proxy constructed
such that the use ID and pass are in the URL -
e.g.: http://username:password@(protected)
individual lines for each component.
Can a RHEL 5 server be "taken back" to using up2date??
Thanks
Don
