am trying to sudo rpmbuild -ta courier-authlib-0.58.tar.bz2 on RHEL5 64bit
i get the following message .....
You should not be running the rpmbuild process as root, courier along with most other RPMs can be built as a non-priveledged user. Running it as root could easily kill your whole system with just a single typo in the spec file...
Follow the non-root RPM build instructions at:
http://www.courier-mta.org/FAQ.html#rpm
error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found:
/usr/lib64/libltdl.a
/usr/lib64/libltdl.la
run "yum install libtool-ltdl-devel" and then rerun the rpmbuild process, it will fix this error...
