I have written a kmod package (supporting "weak updates") for my driver
that is working fine on an already installed system.

I do not (yet) see how this can be converted into a driver disk image
for use at install time, although the release notes seem to include
some URLs I haven't read yet.

In the wiki page I see <http://people.redhat.com/jcm/ddiskit-0.9.9.tar.bz2>,
but this URL doesn't exist anymore, so maybe Jon Masters, whose URL that
is, may update us on the current status ;-).
