As far as I know it has always been available although you do need
activation key administrator privileges I expect to make changes to a
key.
Navigate to the main page for a key (systems->activation keys and find
your key) and you should see tabs for Details | Child Channels |
Groups | Activated Systems. Click on Child Channels and add whichever
channels you want automatic subscriptions to.
