Hi,

We are starting porting of our product from vxworks to linux.  We found two new and very useful for us  APIs  - signalfd and timerfd  (look at http://lwn.net/Articles/225714/).

We also noticed that mentioned APIs are present in Fedora 8 kernels and libc. However, we did not find those APIs in 2.6.18 shipped with RHEL5.  

The question is if there are any plans to integrate and release signalfd and timerfd in the  RHEL5 ?  If yes it would be nice to know what is the roadmap / timetable.
