Hi,

On a specific piece of hardware, which is working fine with RHEL 4
and RHEL 5.0, X is not working anymore with RHEL 5.1:

- As soon as X starts, the screen blanks -- and that's it. The X server
 *stays* running (it doesn't die!), keyboard/mouse are not working
 anymore, and I can only access the system remotely or push the power
 button.

- Graphical install is not possible for this reason.

- After a text install, I see the same symptoms when I do "startx"
 or try to do "system-config-display".

- The system has a built-in Intel 915, of which the lspci -v output is:

- There are no errors "(EE)" in Xorg.0.log, I can post its contents
 if needed.

- FWIW: on this piece of hardware I (always) *need* to use "acpi=off",
 as otherwise the SATA-disk/driver is not working properly.

Any suggestions?
