I added the proxy to "/etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date", but still no luck.
As mentioned before with "wget" and "$https_proxy" the same thing
works.

# yum update
Loading "security" plugin
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Loading "rhnplugin" plugin
There was an error communicating with RHN.
RHN support will be disabled.
Error communicating with server. The message was:
Connection refused
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
No Repositories Available to Set Up
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Skipping security plugin, no data
No Packages marked for Update/Obsoletion
