Hello list,

I manage 4 servers which get a lot of carrier errors on both eth0 and
eth1 and run in half duplex and 100Mbps. The servers are supposed to
be configured to use network bonding.

I realized that on all four mode=<somemode> is missing in
/etc/modprobe.conf. Do you know what the default mode is if this
option is not specified?

Can a missing mode explain all the carrier errors?
