There are some serious known issues with NFS performance and the current
RHEL5.1 kernels. They may not be causing your problems, but it might be
worth looking. Look at Bugzillas 431092 and 321111. I believe there
are fixes currently included in 5.2 beta kernels for the issues in these
bugs.
