Hi there,
I don't remember if this was discussed before, but since the
development of 2008.1 we are rebasing the kernel as early as possible.
This means that we should rebase to 2.6.26-rc2 and follow upstream
-rc releases.
The big advantage of this is that we do the hard work very early
in the development phase and help upstream by reporting bugs and
testing.
The disadvantage is that several things are likely to stay broken
for some time (read dkms).
I would like to know if someone is against early rebase before
we do it.
It's important to remember that we did it for 2008.1 and,
as far as I can remember, it worked well.
Thanks.
