After reading the thread 'module-init-tools-... killed wlan (iwl3945)' (I was
affected by this issue), and discover that I must be working with kernels
2.6.26, I must notify that none of the 2.6.26 kernels works on my laptop.

Hardware: Dell Inspiron 6400, Intel Core 2 Duo, SATA disk, Intel 3945ABG

Symptoms: I select the entry in grub...and nothing happens, black screen.
Then, I press shortly the power button and begins to work, until it tries to
mount the local partitions. Here stops. Again (after waiting one or two
minutes), a new touch on the power button makes it continue.

Then, I'm able to start session (I work with init 3). Maybe at this moment
something happened with the servers, but I was unable to update the
repositories (urpmi --auto-update updated main, contrib and non-free, but
not the PLF's). I tried this operation three times...

After all this, I wanted to reboot the system, unable to work in those
conditions. The system broadcasted that it was going to stop...and nothing
else. I was forced to stop hardly the system (power button pressed until the
laptop stopped).
