I remember seeing another post about this a few days ago with no real
solution. Lately KDE3 doesn't know how to open anything. I just tried
to click on a text file, which used to open in kwrite, but now just
asked for what to use to open it.

The message I recall said to remove kde, but that's not an option. Is
there something to be set or some file that needs to be updated?
