Well first port of call is the kernel. Try using older kernels if you
have them still installed and see at which point things break. If you
have to, try installing the 2008.1 kernel on your cooker box and see if
that works OK. That will help narrow down the search. If the 2008.1
kernel works OK, then let the kernel team know via a bug report and make
sure you remember to include the usb modules used and your h/w etc. etc.
