Hi,

updating a 2008.1 box to the latest kernel-tmb package leaves me with no
sound.

checking with alsamixer I see that the system now takes the pcspkr
interface as card 0 and the real soundcard as card 1 which again leads
to no sound in almost any X application (ie. firefox, flash).

So the real sound cards should always get precedence.

Please beware that pulse audio is disabled for the "real" soundcard, if
that matters.
