Perhaps you've got a macro defined that does not install manpages and
other documentation?

I accidentally defined this with one install I did a while back - I
figured "why would I need docs?" and said as much during the
installation wizard.

I didn't realise that it actually affected what files from within RPMs
got installed - I thought it just didn't install certain packages... I
was wrong :p
