Hi,

I found that a couple days ago my keyboard completely stopped working in
KDE4. Nothing worked - not even capslock. Running xev via a terminal
(which is tricky when your keyboard doesn't work) showed that nothing is
seen.

I managed to trace this problem to the file:
.kde4/share/config/kaccessrc

Removing it fixed things.

The contents seemed pretty innocuous:
[Bell]
ArtsBell=false
SystemBell=false
VisibleBell=false

[Keyboard]
GestureConfirmation=true
Gestures=true
SlowKeys=true

But apparently that was enough!

Perhaps someone else can confirm that putting this file in place is
enough to break KDE4 for them too. If so, this is almost certainly a bug!!!

Col
